About the artist
Zapadnya Sergii was born in 1988 in Brovary, Kyiv region. In 2007, he graduated from the Kyiv Industrial College of the Kyiv National University of Construction and Architecture, majoring in industrial graphics. He continued his studies in 2014 at NAOMA (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture), A. V. Chebykin's free graphics workshop. In 2015, he received 1st place in the "graphics" category, Feldman Art Park. Participant of the "Dukley Art Community" residency, Montenegro. 2011-2015 – member of the "Hayat" squat. 2014 – organizer of the "Sadok" squat. He was a member of the "YOD" art group. He is one of the young Ukrainian artists who work in various media (photography, computer graphics, painting). He experiments, looks for new techniques in the field of graphics, adheres to postmodern values. The priority is the topic of understanding the new time. The works reflect the theme of deconstruction, man in a technological world, sometimes created using multiple media.
