About ArtMonte-Сarlo 2023
ArtMonte-Carlo is an art fair whose intention is to establish on the French Riviera a leading artistic platform for contemporary art, modern art and contemporary design, in order to meet the demands of the many collectors and art lovers of the region.
ArtMonte-Carlo will celebrate its seventh anniversary from the 8th to the 9th of July 2023 at the Grimaldi Forum Monaco under the High Patronage of HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco and the direction of Thomas Hug.
The Salon d'Art will host a prestigious selection of international galleries, presented in parallel to a large Claude Monet retrospective.
In the spirit of artgenève, artmonte-carlo is distinguished by a selection of leading international galleries showcased in a carefully designed scenography and greatly enriched by a program of special exhibitions, promoting a dialogue between the market and the institutional world.
The two fairs, one inaugurating the annual European calendar of contemporary art fairs during the winter season in Geneva and the other taking place in the middle of the summer season on the French Riviera, unite two important European axes, both rich in art spaces and inhabited by many art lovers and collectors.

Over the course of six sections, the exhibition traces the continuity of a profuse body of work that ranges from “space beings” to Who’s Who, from Guido Reni to Bugs Bunny. Featuring specially produced paintings, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the artist’s process of invention – as crazy as it is erudite – of humanoids.
In George Condo’s own words, “the humanoid is not a science fiction monster, it is a form of representation that uses traditional means to bring out the inner emotions onto the surface of a person”.
