ARCOmadrid will again bring together a selection of big names from international galleries. The central theme of this year’s edition is The Mediterranean: A Round Sea. The new programme will reflect the art scenes of the countries surrounding this sea, with artists and galleries from the countries of this rich and complex geography.

This year’s edition is curated by Marina Fokidis, with the advice of Bouchra Khalili and Hila Peleg. A forum dedicated to research into the shared culture of the Mediterranean countries will take place on the Friday and Saturday of the fair, where collectors, curators, theorists, writers and musicians will generate a conceptual context that will accompany the fair.

However, ARCOmadrid2023 will continue its traditional General Programme, made up of galleries selected by the Organising Committee in addition to the curated sections.  ‘Opening by Allianz’ section of the ARCOmadrid2023 curated by Julia Morandeira and Yina Jiménez will present young galleries and the ‘Never the Same. Latin American Art’ section, curated by Mariano Mayer and Manuela Moscoso will strengthen the historical ties between ARCOmadrid and Latin American art.

ARCOmadrid will continue to host the art publications section in the Arts Libris area, aimed at initiation in collecting. Various presentations of new publications in the Arts Libris Speaker’s Corner will traditionally happen this year.
