Thomas Lévy-Lasne won the Prize at Art Paris 2025

During Art Paris Thomas Lévy-Lasne won the 2025 BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize. The 2025 laureate, known for his meticulous, intimate paintings that often reflect quiet moments of everyday life, Lévy-Lasne has carved a distinctive voice within contemporary figurative art.

This year’s selection was made from 25 artists featured in the special curatorial section "Immortelle: A Focus on Figurative Painting in France," co-curated by Amélie Adamo (author and independent curator) and Numa Hambursin, Director of MO.CO (Montpellier Contemporain).
Among other nominated artists were: Ronan Barrot, Marion Bataillard, Maty Biayenda, Vincent Bioulès, Jean-Charles Blais, Katia Bourdarel, Marcos Carrasquer, Robert Combas, Laura Garcia-Karras, Vincent Gicquel, Yayoï Gunji, Dhewadi Hadjab, Oda Jaune, Youcef Korichi, Johanna Mirabel, Marlène Mocquet, Barbara Navi, Françoise Pétrovitch, Laurent Proux, Léa Toutain, Milène Sanchez, Agnès Thurnauer, Karine Rougier, Gaétan Valguelsy.
Thomas Lévy-Lasne, the laureate, received a €40,000 prize from BNP Paribas Banque Privée Prize, awarded in the presence of the jury during the opening ceremony of Art Paris at the beginning of April.

Known for his meticulous figurative paintings that explore themes of time, perception, and contemporary life, Lévy-Lasne’s work is rooted in observation and often draws from everyday scenes, digital imagery, and the aesthetics of the internet age. A graduate of the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, he has exhibited widely in France and internationally, with solo and group shows at major institutions and galleries.

What is more, he carried out 92 interviews of painters active on the French scene for his YouTube and Twitch channel, “Les Apparences”. Moreover, he is the man behind “Le jour des peintres”, which took place at the Musée d’Orsay in September 2024, inviting 80 figures from the contemporary art scene to show their works in dialogue with the museum’s collection.
