The exhibition explores the cactus as both a scientific curiosity and a cultural icon. Curated by Marc Jeanson and Laurent Le Bon, the show brings together historical herbarium specimens, archival materials, photography, botanical drawings, and contemporary artworks.
Extending into the museum’s gardens with the support of the Jardin Exotique, the exhibition offers a dialogue between art, nature, and design, highlighting the cactus’s enduring influence on creativity across time.
20th-century artists like Man Ray, Brancusi, Brassaï, David Hockney, Ed Ruscha, Fernand Léger and contemporary creators such as Ghada Amer, Julian Charrière, Ziad Antar, Katinka Bock, Martin Creed, Latifa Echakhch, Shimabuku, are exhibited among others.
