During Monaco Art Week 2025

The exhibition “Stream of Consciousness” at Hauser & Wirth Monaco presents a selection of works by Annie Leibovitz, an internationally renowned portrait photographer celebrated for her deeply intimate and culturally resonant imagery.

Spanning the past two decades, the display offers insight into the intuitive connections within Leibovitz’s creative process. More than just portraits, her works capture details, atmosphere, and the subtle nuances that define her distinctive visual language.
The layout evokes a stream of memory and visual thought, offering a narrative that moves through personal, historical, and cultural touchstones without explicit explanation.

The images are drawn from Leibovitz’s vast personal archive, many of which have never been exhibited or even seen by the public. Leibovitz has described Stream of Consciousness as “a way to look at everything all at once” – capturing the flow of ideas, images, and moments that make up both a personal life and a public career.
