About Paris+ par Art Basel

In October 2022, for the first time ever, Paris hosted one of the world-famous and prominent art fairs – Art Basel. Paris+ par Art Basel took place at the Grand Palais Éphémère (2 Pl. Joffre, 75007), in the heart of the French capital. The art show built bridges with France’s cultural industries to create a flagship event, radiating throughout the city, embedded in its exceptional cultural ecosystem.
We helped to gain access to remarkable events at the Paris+ par Art Basel fair and provided all necessary support for our clients.We offered a special fair program for our VIP clients.

Galleries of Paris+ par Art Basel

The inaugural edition of Paris+ par Art Basel brought together 156 premier galleries from 30 countries and territories – including 61 exhibitors with spaces in France – in a new flagship event that further augmented Paris’s standing as a cultural epicenter.
The main sector of the fair featured 140 of the world's leading galleries presenting the highest quality of painting, sculpture, drawings, installation, photography, video, and digital works. Dedicated to emerging galleries across the globe, Galeries Émergentes featured 16 solo presentations.

Public Discussions

Curated by Pierre-Alexandre Mateos and Charles Teyssou, and located in the atmospheric Bal de la Marine, a docked boat opposite the Tour Eiffel, the Conversations program provided a platform for dynamic dialogues between leading figures from the artworld and the broader cultural sphere. Public discussions were attended by VIP guests, as well as private and institutional partners of the fair.

Art Shows were dedicated to artistic projects taking place in the heart of Paris. For its first edition, Art Shows took place in emblematic settings throughout the city, including the Tuileries Gardens – Domaine of The Louvre Palace, where 25 sculptures and installations were exhibited, as well as Place Vendome, National Museum of Eugene Delacroix and Chapel of the Petits-Augustins of the Fine Arts of Paris.

History of Art Basel

Founded in 1970 by gallerists from Basel, Art Basel today stages the world's premier art shows for Modern and contemporary art, sited in Basel, Paris, Miami Beach, and Hong Kong. Defined by its host city and region, each show is unique, which is reflected in its participating galleries, artworks presented, and the content of parallel programming produced in collaboration with local institutions for each edition.
Art Basel’s engagement has expanded beyond art fairs through new digital platforms and a number of new initiatives such as the Art Basel and UBS Global Art Market Report, Intersections: The Art Basel Podcast and the BMW Art Journey. Art Basel's Global Media Partner is The Financial Times.
