Art Basel Paris Conversations

For the 2025 edition of Art Basel Paris, Conversations will embrace the creative industries in the widest sense. The program will take place over three days between October 23 and October 25, 2025, at the Petit Palais.
The 2025 edition brings together artists Marta Minujín, Tyler Mitchell, Cai Guo-Qiang, Josèfa Ntjam, and Kiddy Smile; institution leaders Chiara Parisi and Chris Dercon; architect Frida Escobedo; gallerist Emmanuel Perrotin; and many others.
This year also marks the debut of a new concept for Art Basel’s Conversations: a day-long strand curated by celebrated British fashion editor Edward Enninful, marking the launch of his new media and entertainment company EE72. Conceived as a prelude to his forthcoming exhibition 'The 90s' at Tate Britain (2026), Enninful’s program – held on Friday, October 24 – presents one-to-one conversations with four revered artists who rose to the fore in the 1990s alongside Enninful: Yinka Shonibare CBE, Juergen Teller, Sonia Boyce, and Mark Leckey.

History of Art Basel

Founded in 1970 by Basel gallerists Ernst Beyeler, Trudl Bruckner, and Balz Hilt, Art Basel has grown from a regional fair with 90 exhibitors into the world’s most influential platform for Modern and contemporary art. Today it stages annual shows in Basel, Miami Beach, Hong Kong, and Paris, each shaped by its host city’s cultural ecosystem and featuring distinct gallery selections, curated sectors, and collaborations with leading museums and institutions.
Beyond the fairs themselves, Art Basel has broadened its reach through digital initiatives and landmark projects such as the Art Basel & UBS Global Art Market Report, Intersections: The Art Basel Podcast, and the BMW Art Journey, supporting artists’ research worldwide. Its long-standing partnership with The Financial Times as Global Media Partner underscores Art Basel’s central role in shaping critical discourse on the international art market.
