The main subject of Silvashi's abstract art is “time” that has developed into the program of chronorealism where the painting is a symbol of the slowing down time and the colour objects are as open structures. The viewer becomes not a reader or interpreter, but a participant in the experience of changing thinking.

About the artist

Tiberiy Silvashi (b. 1947) – Ukrainian abstract artist, a Member of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine, "Artist of the Year" in Ukraine (1995), laureate of the Shevchenko Prize (2022), the Grand Gold Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine (2022). Silvashi's paintings are kept in museums in Munich, Vienna, New Jersey, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Uzhgorod, Kyiv, in the fine art collection of the Gradobank, as well as in private collections in Europe and the USA. Lives and works in Kyiv. Representative of the New Wave.
