About the artist
Ruslan Tremba (b. 1980, Uzhhorod) is a Ukrainian artist working across painting, sculpture, and graphics.
He studied at the A. Erdeli College of Arts in Uzhhorod (1995–1999) and continued his education at the Lviv National Academy of Arts (1999–2005), specializing in Art Glass.
Tremba categorizes his artistic practice into two distinct directions: "expressive" and "reserved." The "expressive" works, often rendered in black and white, explore sacral themes through intense personal gesture and movement. In contrast, the "reserved" works engage the surrounding environment as a source of motion and meaning.
