About the artist

Mykyta Kadan is a Ukrainian contemporary artist. He was born 1982, now he lives and works in Kyiv.Author of sculptures and installations, paintings and graphics. Member of the group of artists R.E.P. and the curatorial and activist association Khudrada. In 2007 he graduated from the National Academy of Arts and Architecture in Kyiv. He was a nominee for the PinchukArtCentre Award in 2009, and in 2011 he received the First Prize. His works have been presented in Ukraine and abroad, in particular at the Index Contemporary Art Center, Stockholm (2008), at the First Kyiv International Bienniale of Contemporary Art "ARSENALE" at Mystetskiy Arsenal (2012) and Kyiv City Art Gallery "Lavra" (2012), in the exhibition spaces in Belgium, Germany, Poland, Romania, Great Britain, France, Slovakia, Georgia, etc. Works with installation, graphics, painting, mural drawings, posters in the city. Often works in the interdisciplinary collaboration - with architects, human rights watch activists and sociologysts.
