The works of Vladimir Yakovets are the mixture of classical pop art in the Warhol sense, with repeated repetition and bright colors, but also the attraction to classicism and hyperrealism. This mixture makes the master's work not only aesthetically appealing to the viewer with any background, but also philosophically significant for connoisseurs and theorists of art.
An interesting feature is the author's technique - a kind of overlay of paint, where several layers are translucent under each other. Thus, figurative painting emerges through letters, geometric shapes and expressive dripping.

About the artist

Volodymyr Yakovets is a Ukrainian artist. Cherkasy-born artist was one of the brightest and "obsessed" with the new art that emerged in the late 1980s. Each of his actions turned into a revolutionary event that undermined the foundations of morality. Veterans from the local Union of Artists were outraged, instead artistic youth was delighted and joined the "sounding team". He created the first street art in Ukraine, the first hooligan art objects in front of the local regional committee and daring performances.
