    "There are painters who live in the flow of color and «listen» to it. So, I am a painter who does not paint, but "grows" painting", said the author. Tiberius Silvashi is the leader of the school of modern Ukrainian neo-abstraction. The artist became interested in abstract art in Soviet times, but then such "formalistic" works were temporarily in the "underground".
    Today, the artist's work is well known both in Ukraine and abroad. The master had his first solo exhibition in 1993 in Toulouse, France. Since then, over a twenty-year period, he has had many personal exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad.

About the artist

Tiberiy Silvashi is a Ukrainian abstract artist, and laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine in 2022. Silvashy's artworks are preserved and displayed in museums in Munich, Vienna, New Jersey, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Uzhhorod, and Kyiv, as well as in private collections in Europe and the USA. Born in 1947 in Mukachevo, Transcarpathia. In 1966, he graduated from the Republican Art School named after Shevchenko. In 1972 – graduated from Kyiv State Institute of Art. In 1995 Szilvashi was awarded "Artist of the Year" in Ukraine and obtained a scholarship in Munich. His projects were presented at the International Art Festival in Kyiv in 1996 and 1998. In 2022, he won the Shevchenko National Prize (the highest state prize of Ukraine for works of culture and arts) and the Grand Gold Medal of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine. Expert of the Competition for Young Ukrainian Artists, MUHi.
