About the artist

Tetiana Galochkina was born in a sculptors' family in Kyiv. In 1977 she graduated from the Republican Art School named after T.G. Shevchenko, in 1987 - from Kyiv State Art Institute. From 1987 to 2000 she took part in a number of exhibitions: Republican Youth Exhibition, Kyiv; "Parkomuna", Kyiv; "Calm", Kyiv; "Photosynthesis", Kyiv; "Terra Incognita", Zurich. In 1995 she had a solo exhibition at IRENA Gallery. Since 2000, Tetiana has been a member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In 2011 she took part in the group exhibition "Yin", which presented works by leading artists of Ukraine and of different generations. In 2012, as part of a parallel program, Arsenale implemented her large-scale personal project "Return of Light" at M17.
