The presented album became a certain tool, and at the same time embodied in artistic means the need for expression, reflection, internal discussion and analysis of the events experienced after the full-scale invasion. The material for this analysis was viewed photos, video reports, news, and finally sensory perception of events.
The elements that make up the album are both individual works and conceptual sequences that intertwine and interact, forming a single coherent narrative. The open space that represents the album elsewhere expands and splits into separate macro/micro parts. Certain events layer and create reliefs and folds. Work on the album began in July 2022.

Natalia Okhman's "Disintegration under the Beam"

"The album 'Disintegration under the Beam' emerged as a tool, and at the same time as a need for expression, reflection, internal discussion and analysis of the events following the full-scale invasion, embodied through artistic means. The material for this analysis included photos, videos, reports, news, and, finally, the sensory perception of events.

The elements that make up the album are both individual works and conceptual sequences that intertwine and interact internally to form a single coherent narrative.
The open space, that is the album, is expanded and split into separate macro/micro parts in other places. Certain events stratify and create reliefs and bends. Work on the album commenced in July 2022."

About the artist

Natalia Okhman (Kyiv, 1996) is an analog collage artist.

"The main topics I research are personality in social culture, man in the environment and environmental issues. It is important for me to analyze the environment in which we live and how we influence it. When I create a collage, it is as if I conduct a dialogue with myself in which I analyze what is happening around me".

From February 24, 2022, she actively began working on the series "Blackout", "Flowers from metal" and the album "Decomposition under the beam", which are a reflection on the war in Ukraine.
