About the artist

Ed Potapenkov (Dnipro, 1968) is a Ukrainian artist. Lives and works in Kyiv.
In 1987, he graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Art College named after Ye.V. Vuchetich.
In 1995, he graduated from the National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture.
Member of the art association "Cold VEL" from 1993 to 1996. Member of the group "Squat on Olehivska". The author's works have enriched the collection of paintings not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe and America.

As the artist admits, the ideas of works “come to me when least expected”. For Eduard Potapenkov, the most productive time is evening and night, with ideas often striking him in the morning, on the verge of waking up and sleeping. He works in the styles of post-impressionism, postmodernism, figurative art, still life, landscape painting. Through the prism of his works, he demonstrates his reality to the viewers.
